3. Pineapple
Pineapple is rich in the enzyme bromelain, which studies show may be effective against breast cancer.
4. Apples
Apples are rich in quercetin, which has been effective in protecting against prostate and lung cancer.
5. Tomatoes
Tomatoes are high in lycopene which is able to reduce the risk of cervical, ovarian and prostate cancer.

Well, maybe, but the Wikipedia source cites an MSN.com source with no citation whatsoever. So we have a community edited site that references a Microsoft site that provides no supporting evidence. To quote the Wikipedia reference (which was lifted word-for-word from the MSN 'article'):

What specific high-temperature cooking conditions?
What does "shown to promote cancer" mean? In rats? In people? At what dosage? Over what time period?

Yikes, I eat crackers by the truck load!! About 3 boxes of saltines a week. I guess I better switch to a healthier snack!!!!!!
I read an article that mentions marijuana helps (it doesn't cure it but it reduces the tumors) prostate, pancreatic leukemia and breast cancer. I don't know if its true or not, but just in case.
I agree! Cancer is preventable. A lot of the so called cancer research has a vested interest in promoting big pharma. They are into disease and ignore health and life.

Yes you can eat yourself sick and also eat yourself well. When I eat bad to much I start to get different sicknesses, including cold, flu, headaches and more.
The cool thing is you could of been eating wrong for years and than start eating healthy and the body starts to heal quickly. It doesn't take long to reverse a lot of ills from eating wrong.

Thanks, Steve, for a great hub. As for previous comments, the American Council for Science and Health has their own agenda, and if you buy into it, that's fine. However, there's nothing controversial about the fact that processed meats - like most processed foods in general - aren't good for you. As for your anti-cancer foods, I eat all the ones on your list (and I don't eat processed meat), and I've never been healthier. Thanks again.
BBQ Meat of all type must be avoided. These are bad for cancer. Also excessive use of microwave oven to heat food makes the food bad for cancer.
